Vets Plus, Inc., announces it has been awarded Feed Chain Alliance (FCA) certification for animal feed products entering the European Union. Vets Plus is the first and only US-based feed products manufacturer to receive this certification.
The Feed Chain Alliance standard is overseen by OVOCOM in partnership with feed industry, trade, transport, food industry, and government stakeholders in EU-member countries to ensure feed safety and quality throughout the entire chain of production, trade, storage and transport. The Feed Chain Alliance Standard (formerly known as GMP Regulation) is now the internationally accepted feed safety and quality system.
“FCA Certification is a source of pride for Vets Plus. Receiving it is testimony to the quality focus of our people and systems,” said KP Sinha, Vets Plus’ Director of Business Affair and Quality Certifications Coordinator. “Vets Plus has earned a clear distinction in our industry and in the global marketplace. This underscores the commitment we have to food safety and quality.”
Dave Nelson, Vets Plus President, stated, “FCA Certification, along with SQF (Safe Quality Food) 8.0 certification and USDA-APHIS (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service) compliance cement Vets Plus’ position as both a US and global leader in the development and manufacture the highest quality animal feed products and health supplements. Our customers demand this level of commitment and this achievement tells us we are on the right path.”
